Great work, Jeremy!

Well done. I am really curious about the light source. Very interesting. The tonal range of the wood and door is fabulous.

Thanks!

I wish I could post a screenshot or detail from the RAW file that really shows the texture of the wood and door. Why doesn't Substack allow images in comments? (Or do I just not know how to do it?)

Maybe I'll just add that detail to the original post...

Hey Jeremy, when I run into this, I usually make a ‘note’ and reference the person I am addressing it to as the recipient. Something like… this is for (at) so-and-so and then you can attach the photograph, actually six, if you like.

Good idea! Thanks for the tip.

Creepy, innit?!

A great shot. The façade looks like a face, watching you..

Thanks! Yes, quite haunting, I think.

Jeremy, was the moon out? That's a little spooky if there was no other light! This is one of my favorites!

Thanks so much, Rachel. Cloud cover that night and later it sprinkled rain on the photographer. (It was the night of the Iron Bowl when the streets were deserted!) So, no moon light, although it was waxing gibbous that night.

The light that the sensor picked up must've been ambient light, perhaps bouncing off the low clouds!

Thanks!

I love it when the camera reveals something the naked eye could not see.
