That totally makes sense to me. I remember coveting Rolleiflexes at the time. And the Yashica TLR was a fun challenge, but ultimately, as a young man, I didn't have the patience for it.
Maybe now, as an old man, I have more patience and should invest in a used Rollei and get back on the TLR train! ;)
Haha. Wild to see that Yashica Mat in its original time. Feels like it has gotten so popular these days!
Interesting! What draws people to it now?
I never quite mastered it. I guess I was just too accustomed to using an SLR and holding the viewfinder to my eye.
I think it's because the quality is beyond the price. Better quality than just being a poor-man's rollei haha.
Tlr shooting takes a while for the brain, doesn't it. It still takes me 5-10 mins to get in the groove.
